The next few days after arriving back from Egypt, I feel like I'm missing something. The country, the people, the hospitality, the food...!

Back at work, I've not seen some people for about a month. Suddenly, they feel very cold. I may have only spent a week in Egypt, but it was long enough to feel such warm hospitality from the locals and be embraced as we were.

I've grown up in an environment where people hug and kiss when greeting each other. This is a very big cultural difference I've experienced in Korea. No one does that. Everyone bows to one another when greeting. Affection is very rarely shown. I have only a few friends in Korea who hug when we meet. At times, I realize this is what I miss most about being away from home and people familiar to me.

For the first two days after arriving back, my heart was longing for Egypt and her people. It was the second holiday I've been on with my mother, and one of many holidays I've been on over the past three years. Hands down, it was the best.

I've never visited a country twice, but I can't wait to go back to Egypt. Mark my words - I will be back.
