Beijing (7) Cute Pandas

When we walk into the Summer Palace, Jenifer explains to us that these mythical lion/dragon figures always guard Chinese homes and palaces. There are always two - one is a male and one is a female. How do you distinguish the two?
The male is on the left and has a ball under its right paw.

The female is on the right hand side and has a baby under its left paw.
How can we remember which is male/female?
Jenifer says: The female is always "right" :-)

We were told that this is the longest corridor in the world. It is a covered walkway along Lake Kunming and runs for about 2400 feet before reaching the famous marble boat. I was very happy to get this shot with no tourists!
