It’s hard to believe this is already your second heavenly birthday.
Always in our thoughts, forever in our hearts.
Instead of birthday cake, we made your favourite burfi. We love you!
Aum Shanti 🕉🙏🏼🪔😇❤️
Cheers to the weekend! 😃🥰
Baby Me with my Dad - a still taken from a VHS in 1985. 🥳
On the left is my late uncle Dalpat (Dully) 🙏🏼 and on the right, one of my oldest friends - Shakeela. 💖
(My Mum just let me know that this cabinet in the lounge was bought for R299!)
This was a project I did for my History class in Std 6 / Grade 8. 🇮🇳
Just look at that Bibliography! 😅
Hands up all those who remembers and used Encarta for school projects. 🙋🏽♀️
Filmare & Showtime were Bollywood magazines that my Dad used to get from Durban. I used them for pics of saris for my project!
Over the years I have let go of PLENTY of things.
…but today, I found a little box of all these goodies that I collected as a school girl. 😄
Trolls, Diaper Babies, novelty erasers, cases for Nokia 3310 etc..!
It was so much fun finding these that I had to share them on here! I’ve found a few more that I’ll post soon. 🤗💗
Uncle Yusuf & I never met, but we were connected online. He always expressed kindness towards me, especially after losing my Dad.
I was hoping to have met him when I came to South Africa. When I heard that he wasn’t well, I prayed that he would pull through.
This morning I was sad to wake up to the news that Uncle Yusuf passed away.
We extend our condolences & duas to the Masoet family. 🙏🏼🤲🏼
Last year, Uncle Yusuf shared this photo of himself with my Dad in his office. ❤️
It’s a bit late in the day, but the past few days have been chaotic.
Today is my Mum’s birthday! 🎂🎈
Last year on this day, was my Dad’s funeral. I can’t imagine how hard that was…but we like to think that Dad planned it that way. 😇
I really want to spend some time honouring this special lady.
My parents lived in the same home for 40 years.
Last night as my Mum handed the keys over to the new owner and we drove away - from the only home we’ve known as children, I told her how proud we are of her.
The changes that she has made this past year have been taken with grace. Her life has always been devoted to her husband and two children. My Mum is the epitome of someone who loves unconditionally.
It’s the beginning of a new chapter for her.
I wish her only the best - health & happiness always.
Although my Mum isn’t on Facebook, many of her friends are. Thank you to each of you for your warmth, kindness and support. She adores you all!
Much love 💕
