Before taking off, as all the passengers were packing their carry-on luggage away and getting buckled down in their seats, a body-builder kinda guy was standing on my left. I always believe in being courteous to fellow passengers. After all, you're going to be spending a GOOD few hours breathing the same air as them... right?
I smiled at him and in an accent I couldn't distinguish (American/Canadian) he smiled and said "Hi, how u doin?"
He was big built. Bald. Black T-shirt with a skull on the front. Tattoo on arm.
He was sitting in the same row as me, but with the aisle between us. He started the small talk ~ the usual... "Where are you from? Where are you going? What do you do?"
Writing this blog post now, I can't remember his name.
You know when you travel and you strike up awesome conversation with strangers? The natural thing to do is to swap contact details in the hopes of maintaining contact, right?
He was not one of them.
He was from Canada, but worked in India as a bodyguard for a business man (who was allegedly sitting in First Class). We must have spoken for about 10 or 15 minutes on and off as he kept trying to talk to the cute flight attendant passing by every few minutes. He told her how he wanted to eat anything, but Indian food...cause obviously that's all he has in India.
He told me about how he'd flown with Bollywood MEGA star Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta in SRK's private jet. He also spoke about other film stars he rubbed elbows with at the IPL. I didn't goo-goo-ga-ga over his stories, though. He was thrilling the flight attendant who seemed a bit TOO bubbly with his tales of being a bodyguard...and how when he lands in Dubai, he has no problem, cause his 'client' has a home there.
I came to the conclusion that the bald bodyguard from Bombay was also... a shooter~! hee ha!
