Halla Arboretum

I was only leaving Jeju Island in the afternoon (Saturday, October 3 2009) so I had the morning free. The weather was gorgeous and I wanted to do some exploring. Anyone who knows me will tell you that I'm *not* a hiking person.

But I ventured off to this amazing place...took a long walk up the mountain (alone!). I went really early, so there weren't many people there yet. I think it had just opened when I arrived.

The fresh air was incredible. I heard some strange and creepy noises in the distance, so I picked up my pace and made sure I was walking where there were other people in sight.

At one point, I didn't know which route to take and I ended up going down a path and ended my little hike somewhere totally different to where I started.

...didn't panic though, just carried on walking till I caught a cab.
