Turn it Up by T.O.P

Presenting to you, T.O.P's (of Big Bang fame) latest single.

As I told my friend, Nicki (who sent me the link to this music video) T.O.P's sex appeal lies in his eyes. How else can one explain that even sitting in a chair, covered from head to toe and surrounded by sexy women, he is still sexy? Nicki says, "he has the whole attitude going for him, he has that vibe, it's more confidence" Watch the video and you decide :)

World Cup Songs from Korea

World Cup 2010 madness has hit the world. 3 days till kick off!

Everywhere I go in Korea, I see the FIFA symbol, and although I don't "get" soccer, I still get a rush when I see the SA flag & I hear people talking about Nam-Aprika or Nam-a-gong (Korean for South Africa).

Stores and radio stations are playing World Cup songs, like the two below by very popular groups, Super Junior & Big Bang - which features Kim Yuna (Olympic Gold Medalist).

Take a look at the videos & let me know which one you like!

Big Bang ~ Global Warming Concert 2008

All pics are from the BB GW Concert from YG Entertainment

The day I'd been waiting for for months finally arrived.

June 21 - Big Bang's Global Warming Tour Concert!

When we arrived at the venue, there was a whole lot of Big Bang merchandise being sold...photo books, key rings, stickers, mirrors and the famous scarf (I'll post pics tomorrow).

I couldn't contain my excitement! And then... a man holding a camera approached me. He told me he was filming for the DVD of the concert & wanted me to say something for the camera! I can't even remember what I said, because it happened so fast...!

Security was TIGHT. It wasn't even this strict when I went to the Beyonce concert last year. Here, you had to check in your cameras... and security patrolled around like hawks.

Anyways, at exactly 6pm, the lights went out and ... I went mad! Tae-Yang appeared first ~ suspended from the ceiling... and the rest of them were elevated from under the stage.

In the area I was sitting, I was the craziest, and was surrounded by seemingly calm and collected Koreans! I'm still on such a high from last night...and now, I can't wait for Tae-Yang's solo concert!

Tae-Yang's solo album has been released and he performed 2 songs - 기도 (Gido) meaning "Prayer" & 나만바라봐 (Na-man-ba-ra-bwa) meaning "Look only at me". He revealed that he'll be holding a solo concert soon - hooray!

According to online comments, I don't think fans have taken to TOP's new hairstyle. I don't mind it... and he was great!!!

Dae-Sung also perfomed a solo song & wowed the audience with his charm. The other band members were complimenting him on his new hairstyle / look.

Seung-Ri impressed with his solo breakdancing performance... but I think the star of the show was probably Tae-Yang.

Gummy also made an appearance singing Mee-ahn-eh-yo (Sorry)

3 more sleeps till the BIG BANG concert!

My addiction to the Korean group, BIG BANG is no secret. I love love love them... I have ALL their music (hip-hop style) and own copies of their 2 concert DVD's. This past Saturday I was in a department store in Seoul and saw a brand that Big Bang endorses. The lady allowed me to take a pic of the posters, and then... she gave me 2 posters and autographed individual pics.

This coming Saturday, I'm going to the Big Bang concert in Seoul. They're on a tour promoting their new album, For the World... which is a collection of their songs re-sung in English! They are too good. I love their singing, music, dancing, style... it's too cool. I feel like a 13 year old again ^^ ....

Tae Yang goes solo

Big Bang member, Tae Yang is going solo! His two music video's 기도~ Prayer & 나만바라봐 ~ Look only at me debuted on Mnet & they're simply fantastic!

Tae Yang has become my Number 1 favourite Big Bang Member, placing T.O.P in second place ^~

Here is 기도 (pronounced Gi-do) featuring Teddy. Teddy Park is the leader of the YG's hip hop group, 1TYM.

And here is 나만바라봐 (pronounced Na-man-ba-ra-bwa). The basic plot of the music video is that Tae Yang's girfriend is cheating on him with many guys - cameo roles by the other Big Bang members! Tae Yang's solo dance (in black and white) is awesome...

Big Bang raisin' the roof

I have a confession to make. I am SMITTEN by a Korean boy band called BIG BANG.

The group is comprised of 5 members, Seung-ri, Tae Yang, G Dragon, T.O.P. & Daesung.

Each member plays a unique part in the group, with my favourite being the rapper, T.O.P.

These guys are no older than 21 years old. *gasp*

...but they're fantastic!

When I arrived in Korea, there was a song that played simply everywhere I went. It was their single, Ko Jid Mal (Lies) and was very catchy. Their style of music is hip hop/r&b and mainstream. Traditionally, boy bands are pretty boys, but Big Bang's image is pure thug.

I've been trying to figure out why I'm so crazy about them. Is it there music or their image? In their music videos, they wear urban hip hop kind of clothing, with slanted caps and plenty of bling...

As far as their dance style goes, they are big into street / break dancing. This is very popular in Korea, with Koreans often winning international break dancing competitions.

They've just released another album, "For the World", where they're re-recorded all their hits in English.

Here's one of their music video's, "How Gee"

This is another one of my favourites, "Last Farewell"
