The PCD were minus 1 Doll - Melody had a back injury so couldn't perform. The group performed some of their well-known hits and strutted their sexy bods showing off how VERY flexible they are :) I don't know if it was just me, but the stage felt a bit empty - maybe I was waiting for back-up dancers (like Beyonce had). There were only a few songs where all 4 Dolls were on at the same time. So it was like 3 Dolls moving around the empty space trying to pump up the crowd.
We were allowed to take photos / videos and I took many video clips - mostly for my brother, 'cause he likes them and has used their music in his mixes. He was psyched that I called him during some of the songs to listen to them for a few seconds~!
I kept having the feeling of, "What's next?" And then suddenly ~ they said they had two more songs to rock for us. 1) Jai Ho! from Slumdog Millionaire and 2) Wait a minute.
Suddenly they thanked the crowd for coming out and went off stage. People started exiting the stadium and I turned to my friend saying, "Is it over?"
The Dolls are on a World Tour and no surprise they're running out of steam. I don't regret going at all. They're good performers, but I think the show would have been more lively with more stage energy.
When I saw Beyonce in November 2007, you almost didn't know what to expect next - she was amazing and kept the crowd rocking at all times.
The PCD had some audience interaction. Two girls from the audience were called on stage for a 'dance off'. They had to shake their booty to "Bottle Top".
I reached home around 00:30. Took the subway - transfered twice, but then the subway closed so I had to take a cab home.

Pussycat Dolls ~ Doll Domination Tour: Live in Seoul
Saturday, June 6 2009
I love going to concerts in Korea - the vibe is awesome...just as you get off the subway,
there are people selling things like this - including mini binoculars!
I had to transfer trains @ Sindorim Station, but the subway had already closed.
So ... I had to take a taxi home (30,000 Won later)
This flower vendor was still out working...

Stressin' @ Dunkin' Donuts
J~ & I were going to the PCD concert. My friend at school, No-su booked the tickets online for me, but I still had to collect them at the concert. The venue was at the Olympic Park in Seoul..maybe an hour an a half away from me. It was Saturday and of course, there'd be traffic.
The subway station I use is in Bucheon which is 15-20 minutes away from my apartment. I told J~ we should meet at 5pm @ Dunkin' Donuts at Bucheon Station. She was going to a wedding and said we'd better meet at 5:30pm. Ok - I agreed. I'd still get to Bucheon earlier to avoid the traffic.
I arrived at Dunkin' Donuts and let J~ know I was there. I got a text saying she'd only arrive at 6pm. Sat down with an iced Cafe Mocha thinking, "Why can't people just stick to a meeting time?" Tried keeping my cool and passed time by chatting to my mum on the phone and playing on my iPod while people watching.
At 6pm I called J~. She said she'd only arrive at 6:10pm.
And then... I called back saying, "I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to go ahead without you...I'll call you tomorrow."
I immediately called another friend, Yang.
Me: What are you doing?
Yang: I'm just at home.
Me: PLEASE come with me to the concert.
Yang: But I don't have a ticket.
Me: I have one...
Yang: Really? OK OK ... I'll go.
Me: GOOD! Where are we going to meet? I'm getting on the subway now.
Yang: Let's meet at Naksongdae.
Me: Ok, I'll call you in a few minutes.
I met Yang and we were on our way to the concert. Sorry for J~ but she missed out. I was really annoyed. I know my friends think I'm paranoid but... for things like concerts and traveling, I'm ALWAYS early. I absolutely hate it when people ask me, "Why are you going so early?"
Yang and I arrived at Olympic Park around 7:45pm. We only got to our seats just after 8pm and missed the opening acts by Korean groups.
But everything is fine with J~ ... she understood that I had to go ahead without her.

PCD tonight!
After falling asleep at 7:30pm, in mid-email conversation (sorry!) I woke up bright and early at 05:30 this morning. Lazed around watching TV, mostly re-runs.
And now, I'm about to get ready and head out to Seoul for the Pussycat Dolls DOLL DOMINATION WORLD TOUR @ Olympic Stadium at 8pm.
Hope everyone's having a great week-end :)
More on the concert later~

The Dolls are comin' to town!

I'm not a huge fan of Pussycat Dolls, but have enjoyed some of their chart-topping hits, including the latest Jai Ho! (You are my destiny) from Slumdog Millionaire. The Dolls are currently on a world tour which began in January this year. They're heading to South Korea and are having a concert in Seoul on Saturday, June 6 2009 @ 8pm.
...and I'm going!!!
In November 2007 I went to the Beyonce Concert in Seoul, and in June last year I went to the Big Bang (Korean group) concert. They were both mind blowing and I'm pretty sure the Dolls won't disappoint~!
