Become a Spiritual Pioneer (Selfless Service)

To become a spiritual pioneer means becoming a more conscious spiritual change agent. In this role, your contribution can take many forms. One way of contributing is through what's called selfless service. According to the ancient philosophy of Vedanta, selfless service is called karma yoga, the path of selfless work, wherein every action is offered to God as a sacrament. By doing so, it is said that one eventually attains unions with God. Jesus had a similar message. When he said "Inasmuch as ye have done it unto the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me," he was making it clear, among other things, that any service offered to another was a direct offering to God.

I actually started going to Gita Sessions with a friend of mine, and this topic came up and was talked about a lot... I've actually had this feeling for a while, but never had it quite quantified in words until now... thanks for sharing this!
