JAAN-E-MANN

What a disappointment....

When I heard that Jaan-e-mann was a sequel to Mujhse Shaadi Karoge, I thought it was going to be a hit. The music seemed above average, and the starcast (Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar & Preity Zinta) seemed to be promising.

To be honest, I didn't even finish the film...I still have to watch the second half of it. The first part was so painful, that I had to put it off and go to bed.

Has anyone watched it? I mean...what was up with Akshay being in the spacecraft? And Salman's weird dream of being at the Filmfare awards? And the worst of all - Anupam Kher as a midget? And then the silly song of Akshay's as he is dancing with dwarves?

Someone save me!

  4. When I first heard about Jaan-e-Mann, I was looking forward to it, but then the more I heard about it, the less I was interested. I was still going to see it, but then I changed my mind almost at the last minute - when I heard Anupam Kher was playing a little person. I mean, what?? Maybe I'll rent the DVD sometime, but for now I'm glad I didn't spend my money on the cinema ticket (so I can spend it on seeing the hotness that is Hrithik in Dhoom 2 twice, lol).

  16. The poster actually puts me off abit! I thought Mujhe Shaadi Karoge was awesome - i loved the songs and Priyanka's dancing! Considering the fact that i love Preity, i'm surprised how much i don't really want to see it (but i probably will anyway :) )

  18. Hey Sheetal,

Just came across your blog form Beth Loves Bollywood! I'm a fellow South African, now living in the States, but my family is still in SA, so i still keep in touch with what's going on down there!

ANyway, i saw Jaan-e-mann, what a waste of time. It was such a knock-off of Addicted to Love, and it was really cheesy! I agree with some of the other comments, You're much better off watching Don, now that's a classy film. I never really cared for the original so i had nothing to compare this one to (so i could not be disappointed that they did not live up to the original).

BTW, sorry to hear about your loss, please accept my condolescences!

    Bye,
